How Do We Bring Your Designs To Life?

With 3D printing technology, our team has the opportunity to create custom designs, bringing your vision to life in a precise and cost-effective manner. But how does this process work? What do you need to know about .CAD files and other design aspects? In today’s blog, HWB Prints talks about how we help fabricate custom creations for our clients.

Getting Started with CAD Files

The items we fabricate will be created based on the .CAD files our customers deliver to us. Simply create your design in CAD and provide this to our team and we can print it based on your exact specifications. But! What if you don’t know how to use this program, but you have a great idea anyway? Then talk to our team! We can work with you to design your product and then create a file we can print from. If you have an idea for anything, from a prototype to something fun to sit on your desk, let us know and we can get started right away. We could even help you fabricate some memorable holiday gifts!

The Printing Process

We use very durable PETG and PLA filaments to create our items, so they’re strong and can often be used as tools at work! They come in a number of different colors for you to choose from, and you can also paint them later. These are also lightweight and versatile as well! We can fabricate anything that fits within our print area, which can accommodate creations 300mm (11.82in) x 300mm (11.82in) with a height of 400mm (15.75in). However, if you have larger items you want to craft, we could fabricate them in multiple pieces and then assemble them later. People often do this when creating larger works or cosplay parts, such as armor and helmets.

Possible Home and Work Goods

What can we make? Well, the only limit is your imagination. For example, we’ve created custom jigs and tiles squares, as well as other tools for businesses big and small. We’ve even rendered prototypes, saving on metal fabrication costs. People have also created custom art pieces and cosplay parts, toys, chess pieces, and even shelves and racks that fit oddly shaped draws and cabinets in homes. If you have any questions about how this process works, or how you can get started even if you have no knowledge of CAD programs, then don’t hesitate to give us a call at the number below, or shoot us an email. We look forward to hearing from you!
